{"id":31,"date":"2021-09-30T10:24:56","date_gmt":"2021-09-30T10:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amm-journal.org\/?page_id=31"},"modified":"2021-09-30T10:24:57","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T10:24:57","slug":"initiative-for-open-citations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/amm-journal.org\/index.php\/initiative-for-open-citations\/","title":{"rendered":"Initiative for Open Citations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>I40C \u2013 Initiative for Open Citations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Initiative for Open Citations&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/i4oc.org\/\">I4OC<\/a>&nbsp;is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, researchers, and other interested parties to promote the unrestricted availability of scholarly citation data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this initiative is to promote the availability of data on citations that are structured, separable, and open.&nbsp;<strong>Structured<\/strong>&nbsp;means the data representing each publication and each citation instance are expressed in common, machine-readable formats, and that these data can be accessed programmatically.&nbsp;<strong>Separable<\/strong>&nbsp;means the citation instances can be accessed and analyzed without the need to access the source bibliographic products (such as journal articles and books) in which the citations are created.&nbsp;<strong>Open&nbsp;<\/strong>means the data are freely accessible and reusable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a participating publisher, all Compuscript journal titles deposit reference lists from journal articles to Crossref allowing references to be distributed without restriction through all of Crossref\u2019s&nbsp;Metadata Delivery&nbsp;services to any interested party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I40C \u2013 Initiative for Open Citations The Initiative for Open Citations&nbsp;I4OC&nbsp;is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, researchers, and other interested parties to promote the unrestricted availability of scholarly citation data.
